Double digit losses throughout the market as Bitcoin drops to $9,700

While the crypto market hasn’t had a particularly memorable week, it doesn’t look as if the hardships are over just yet as the vast majority of the top 100 cryptos see red.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $9,797.72, representing a decline of 7.55% over the last 24 hours, with 5.50% being shed in the last hour. Ethereum is recording losses of over 10% while Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash are down over 9%. As Ethereum trades at $207.24, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash are now worth $83.16 and $283.80, respectively. EOS records the biggest loss of the top 10 as the project sinks 20.61% to $3.46, with a concerning 15.13% being shed in less than an hour.

The losses are magnified in the top 20 as both Dash and Chainlink are recording losses of 11.93% and 12.30% respectively. While Dash is trading at $109.24, LINK is now worth $2.45 apiece. TRON is following close behind sinking 11.84% to $0.0225 as NEO slips 10.72%.

Other projects to see notable losses include Chain and HyperCash both losing more than 16% over the last day. Insight Chain takes the biggest hit of the day as the project loses 17.52% at the time of writing.

Total market cap has slipped to $267.6 billion while Bitcoin’s dominance continues to increase, currently at 66.6%.
