Another adoption in Brazil, a blockchain app to track government contracts bidding

A state in Brazil created a blockchain app to track public bidding process on government contracts.

It seems like Brazil is going big with crypto and blockchain adoption these days. After the creation of coffee supplies-backed cryptocurrency as reported by Chepicap just couple of hours ago, another news coming from one of the states in the South American country.

The state of Bahia implements blockchain to track public bidding process on government contracts.

The solution, namely the Online Bid Solution (SOL) targets 1,100 associations and cooperatives in Brazil’s agriculture industry. It will help them connect with workers and suppliers that are spread across the country, and at the same time, provide transparency on the contract bidding process.

The blockchain app, which is financed through a loan agreement between the state government and the World Bank is available for install from PlayStore and Apple Store, as reported by Cointelegraph.
