Most altcoins seeing steep declines as Bitcoin drops to $12,400

While Bitcoin broke $13,000 once again several hours ago, the coin has begun slipping as most of the market is recording mild losses.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading $12,518.32, down from its $12,950 reported earlier today. While BTC is still 1% in the green over the last 24 hours, the apex cryptocurrency is recording losses of more than 4% over the last hour.

However, Bitcoin is doing relatively well compared to the nine major altcoins. Both TRON and Bitcoin SV are seeing losses of well over 7%, bringing their respective values to $0.031 and $191.08. Meanwhile, Binance Coin and Bitcoin Cash are both recording losses of over 5%. BNB is now trading at $31.43 and BCH is worth $393.88.

It’s Litecoin, however, that takes today’s top 10 loser. LTC is currently 13.43% in the red with the majority of that loss taking place over the last hour.

Further down the list, Cosmos is another project recording double-digit losses. Down 11.09% over the last 24 hours, ATOM is now worth $4.42. Meanwhile, Cardano is in red for 9.03% and Ethereum Classic is down 8.07%.

Solve is today’s overall loser as the project tanks 15.15% at the time of writing. Komodo comes in at a close second with losses of 14.62%. On the other side of the scale, Bezant is clearly the market’s winner as the project is recording gains of almost 95%, likely as a result of beginning the swap from ERC-20 to BEP-2.

Total market cap is sitting at $338.7 billion while BTC dominance climbs to 65.4%.
