Flexa's Spedn app finally sees Litecoin support

It has been reported by CryptoNinjas that the recently launched Spedn app, by Flexa, has just added support for Litecoin (LTC) as its fifth digital asset on the platform. The app allows users to spend cryptocurrencies, from a linked Gemini account, for everyday uses.

Originally, Spedn supported Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Gemini Dollars (GUSD). Recently Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter teased on twitter that support for Litecoin may be in the works when he retweeted a post from Litecoin creator Charlie Lee:

Well now the hope has become a reality, as Flexa has officially added support for Litecoin:

Charlie Lee, announcing the integration at the Asia Blockchain Summit in Taipei on Wednesday, had the following to say:

"I’m excited to see Flexa help push mainstream adoption of Litecoin payments... Being able to pay with LTC at all these new major merchants is great for the entire Litecoin community."

The Flexa team, on their blog, affirmed: "Adding Litecoin brings Flexa one step forward in its mission to make any cryptocurrency spendable at any store, in any country around the world."

This is a positive step forward for Litecoin fans and may well spread broader adoption. Will more coins be added soon? Stick with Chepicap for all updates.
