Blockchain powered GUTS Ticketing sells 18,000 “smart tickets” in two hours

Dutch based smart ticketing application GUTS Ticketing utilizes the Get Protocol and has had some impressive milestones in 2018.

In a post on Medium, GET Protocol Blockchain developer Kasper Keunen said that that on Friday June 1st, Guts Ticketing had more than 380,000 people visit the ticketing application at the same time. In less than two hours they sold 18,840 tickets for twenty different theatre productions.

The GET protocol is a blockchain based smart ticketing application that is used by other ticketing companies and event organizers to organize the primary and secondary ticketing market, thus eliminating the necessity of scalping. Also, because every ticket is guaranteed it ensures that ticket fraud is non-existent.

In the realm of cryptocurrency, there is a lot of hype, but Get Protocol and GUTS Ticketing are producing startling results.

Keunen noted that the main reason for holding back on expanding their application to various areas like the US or Asia has been that their support overhead is quite high for events, as it requires non-automated interactions between client and customer. The company intends to stick to using their application to events near Amsterdam as a way of ensuring they can manage their growth effectively. The company is also focused on cutting down overhead costs and improving efficiency. GET tokens are currently selling for $0.70 (USD) each and has seen it’s value increase by almost 10% in 24 hours.

Europe, Asian and North America are on the companies intended future road map. The company is currently in advanced talks with Euro 2020, some Asian Ticketing Companies as well as E-Sport Events. GUTS Tickets are identity bound and smart, meaning they can communicate with the holder their smart phone based on the location, ticket or status data.
