Crypterium launches the very first global crypto payment card

Crypterium, a startup company aiming to make cryptocurrency spending easier for the public, has launched the Crypterium Card, the very first crypto card available globally.

The Estonia-based financial technology startup, Crypterium, introduces its new global payment card, which offers zero fees for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin transactions.

'We made it. Crypterium has officially launched the Crypterium Card — the world’s only crypto card available in all countries. Also, the easiest, fastest way to spend cryptocurrencies in real life. We are celebrating with a brand new website where you can find out everything you need to know it.'

The company, which raised $52 million in an ICO in 2017, stated last year that cryptocurrency is actually quite difficult to use as an everyday method of payment.

'If you were to go to an exchange with your Bitcoin or your ether it would probably take you 3 to 7 days to get that money paid out into a normal bank account', said Marc O'Brien, who was at the time, leading Crypterium, and was the former head of Visa in Ireland and UK.

'What Crypterium will do is make that whole process seamless and give an opportunity for a consumer to actually use their cryptocurrency to pay for everyday items.'

Crypterium is convinced that crypto cards are the easiest and fastest way for holders to access their digital currencies, and promises that 'no matter where you are based, a Crypterium Card can be shipped to your door.'

The card is linked to the Crypterium App, which has over 500,000 users in the U.S. and U.K., and which you will need to use to order your 'Global Bitcoin Card'.

The global crypto card does not charge any transaction fees, although you will have to cough up a 1.5% fee when adding prepaid funds.
