Justin Sun's $4.6M lunch with Warren Buffet is on July 25 in San Francisco

Tron founder and CEO Justin Sun, took to Twitter to announce that his $4.6 million lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, will take place in San Francisco on July 25.

The Tron CEO announced that the 20th annual eBay 'Power Of One Lunch' with Warren Buffett will take place on July 25 in San Francisco!

Sun added that he chose the city of San Francisco to bring extra awareness to the Glide Foundation, which is a San Francisco charity that Warren Buffett’s late wife, Susan, had supported for many years, and provides meals for the homeless and helps domestic violence victims.

'We decided to move this year’s lunch to a restaurant in the Bay Area to further shine the spotlight on Glide’s amazing charitable efforts! More details coming soon!', he tweeted.

The $4.6 million that Sun paid was the highest ever paid for the annual charity lunch, and has caught the attention of nearly everyone in the cryptocurrency community.

Even the mainstream media channels cannot seem to get enough of this upcoming event.

Sun told CNBC's Squawk Box that he was more than happy to have paid $4.6 million for the lunch because he’s a huge fan of Buffett’s investing strategy.

'I’ve made lots of money from these strategies', Justin said. 'So this is like a payback to Warren Buffett.'

'We want this lunch to be a bridge between the cryptocurrency community and the traditional investor. It might be unrealistic to convince Warren Buffett, just in three hours, to buy cryptocurrencies. But we want to show him the recent progress of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.'
