Coinbase brings its debit card to 6 new countries in Europe

Recently Coinbase revealed that it would be expanding its debit card program to six new countries all across Europe. This comes just months after the card was announced for UK customers, to link their Coinbase holdings with a physical card for in-world purchases.

The new countries include Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Brian Armstrong has previously hinted that before long the debit card would be available in the US, as well.

In order to participate, users simply need to download the Android or iOS app and request a card. This will add them to a waitlist, which once closed will allow for them to use their Coinbase accounts for everyday purchases. They can use a "virtual card" through their phone as well as a physical one which will be sent to them in the mail.

This should be a good step forward for users who want to begin using crypto as cash, but find there isn't much infrastructure in place at the moment. When will the card spread to other regions? Stay right here with Chepicap for all updates!
