Rest of the market up as Bitcoin sees gains of almost 5%

While the Bitcoin bulls had taken a bit of a break over the past few days, it’s recent push back over $8,000 led many to believe they were back in force. It appears as if they’re correct as Bitcoin has surged 3.5% in half an hour.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is up 4.78% over the last 24 hours, bringing its value to $8,174.94. As is generally the case, when Bitcoin sees notable movement, the rest of the market follows and this time is no different.

XRP and EOS are both up over 3%, bringing the value of their coins to $0.40 and $6.44, respectively. Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV are both seeing gains of 4.35% while Ethereum and Stellar are up 5.72% and 5.26% respectively.

Litecoin is still the top 10’s biggest earner, currently surging 11.18% to $142.59 as we get closer to LTC’s halving event. Coming in at second place is Binance Coin, rallying over 7% to $33.90.

As far as the top 20 are concerned, Cardano is the clear winner with gains of 11.60%. ADA is now trading at $0.09. Tron and NEO are other notable earners, seeing gains of 9.17% and 7.26%, respectively. Meanwhile, IOTA is trading at $0.44, an increase of 6.52%.

Zcoin is the market’s top earner today, soaring 46.74% likely a result of an early beta showing how Zcoin could be usable throughout Thailand via a QR system. Maximine Coin and Egretia are other notable earners, both surging over 24%.

Total market cap is sitting at $262 billion with Bitcoin dominance at 55.4%.
