Thai bank retracts statement that it will use XRP soon

The Siam Commercial Bank, Thailand’s largest commercial bank, deleted a yesterday's tweet, where it stated that the bank was planning to utilize XRP soon.

A few days ago, the Siam Commercial Bank, Thailand’s largest commercial bank, announced in a now-deleted tweet, that they were planning to utilize XRP soon.

'XRP system will be announced soon', their Offical Twitter account tweeted.

However, Yesterday the Thai bank posted a new tweet, where the SCB stated that they are so sorry for the previous information of the previous post, and that as of now they have no longer any plans on using XRP.

It is unclear why the SCB made the statement that they will use XRP soon in the first place, and then decided to delete the tweet that said so.

In September 2018, Chepicap reported that Ripple Labs released an official announcement which stated that their Multi-Hop feature was being adopted by Siam Central Bank Thailand.

Ripple announced the SCB as the first adopter of this feature, which would allow the SCB to settle frictionless payments on behalf of other financial institutions on the Ripple Network.
