Rumors of Coinbase hack appear to be 'recycled FUD'

Rumors of a hack at cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase appear to be recycled FUD. On Twitter and Reddit, people were discussing a possible hack at Coinbase, where login details of customers would have been floating around on the Internet.

People were alerted to change their passwords as private details of Coinbase customers might have been stolen.

So far there has been no confirmation of details being stolen by hackers, and the crypto community responded swiftly by pointing out the rumors on the Coinbase hack are 'recycled FUD' from a few years ago. Dates on the 'proof' that there was a Coinbase hack were changed to make it look like the hack just happened.

Hack or not, it's always wise to keep your investments safe by extracting them from exchanges to your personal wallet or, if you keep them on exchanges, to enable 2-factor authentication on your account.
