Apple founder Steve Wozniak: Bitcoin should be a single global currency

In an interview with CNBC, Steve Wozniak, the entrepreneur behind Apple computers, echoed sentiments made by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey that Bitcoin will become a single global currency.

The Apple inventor let his made his feelings clear during the Money 20/20 conference, stating that he believes Bitcoin is “pure digital gold”. He continued to describe why:

"Bitcoin is mathematically defined, there is a certain quantity of bitcoin, there's a way it's distributed… and it's pure and there's no human running, there's no company running and it's just… growing and growing… and surviving, that to me says something that is natural and nature is more important than all our human conventions,’.

Wozniak hasn’t been shy when it comes to sharing his thoughts on cryptocurrency. Last month Wozniak spoke at WeAreDevelopers, a convention for (you guessed it) technology developers. During his opening speech, he detailed that he believed that blockchain was the next major IT revolution and that Ethereum could be the “apple of cryptocurrency”.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said in an interview with The Times back in March that he believes that the cryptocurrency will become the world’s single currency within 10 years. Wozniak reiterated this statement with a small addition: “I buy into what Jack Dorsey says, not that I necessarily believe it's going to happen, but because I want it to be that way, that is so pure thinking,".

Wozniak was invested in bitcoin until recently, selling it at the peak during the market highs back in December due to the stress of constantly checking the price …
