McCormack to face Craig Wright in court: I look forward to defending this

Yesterday, popular Bitcoin podcaster, Peter McCormack, relayed the key details of his legal fight against Bitcoin SV propagator, Craig Wright. Today McCormack revealed his plans to contest these claims in court.

After taking to Twitter Yesterday to update the crypto community on the goings on within the proceedings, McCormack appeared hesitant as to which course of action he would take, laying out three possibilities alongside the potential fallout of each:

However, today it seems, McCormack has finally reached a decision, tweeting out that he was looking to contest the libel accusations.

The majority of crypto Twitter appeared to come out in support of McCormack’s decision:

It isn’t yet clear as to whether McCormack will be seeking crowdfunding for legal council, a pro bono lawyer, or whether he’ll defend himself; but one thing is for sure, he certainly seems to have a fair bit of support behind him.

Interestingly, broadcaster and Bitcoin bull, Max Keiser, noted that Bitcoin SV, had taken a sharp downturn shortly after McCormack tweeted plans to contest the libel accusations.

Whether this was coincidence or not, remains to be seen. However, whichever way the court's rule could potentially impact the price point of Bitcoin or BSV…

What do you think? Is contesting the accusations the right thing to do? Could this case hurt BTC? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
