Tim Draper: People would pick on Satoshi Nakamoto the way they do Elon Musk

Billionaire Tim Draper defends Elon Musk from the Wall Street bully, and thinks that the same thing would happen to Satoshi Nakamoto if they know who he was.

Everyone can be a subject to bully, even a billionaire like Elon Musk. The Tesla's founder has been picked on by the Wall Street due to the controversy that's been surrounding him lately.

As many have probably known, a while ago, Musk can be seen of tweeting "sensitive information" about his company going public a while ago, which brought him to a legal case involving the Securities & Exchanges Commission (SEC).

Another billionaire who is quite popular in the crypto space, Tim Draper expressed his concern about the way Musk is treated. “I’ve noticed something happening in the press that’s not healthy which is this schadenfreude where they go after the tallest trees,” said Draper to Bloomberg.

He includes Musk in the same group of “extraordinary people” along with Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and the pseudonymous Bitcoin inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto, whom he considers as “the people who have done great things for us”.

“They’d probably go after Satoshi Nakamoto if they knew who he was, these extraordinary people who have created amazing things for our world,” he added.

The venture capitalist who’s also a big Bitcoin bull and a die-hard believer in decentralization said that even the “best and brightest” like Musk is not perfect.

“I think you’ve got to look at the whole picture…He brought us a really awesome electric car. And now he’s shooting things into space for us. The guy has done some extraordinary things,” Draper said.

He further expressed his admiration to the space genius by saying, “The best engineers in the world want to try something extraordinary…They want to cure cancer or get us to Mars or figure out space travel….They’re trying to do extraordinary things and that’s what they want to be a part of.”

He is worried that “putting down” Musk will only discourage other entrepreneurs from taking risks the way he did, as reported by CCN.

As to his relation with cryptocurrency, Musk can be seen of tweeting crypto-related tweets a multiple times, with no real move to join the crypto space seen so far.

Another renowned Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Sam Altman also has similar opinion with Draper. “It's gross seeing so many root against Tesla,” he tweeted.
