While BTC has been impressive in 2019, here are 14 altcoins that have outperformed BTC in 2019 so far. With the increase in hype and Bitcoin pushing new yearly highs, it comes as no surprise that altcoins would be following in the footsteps of Bitcoin. Some of the altcoins have perhaps sailed under the radar, while others have most certainly gotten the attention of many.

Looking at the top 50 cryptocurrencies only, number one spot goes to Binance Coin, which has quite literally not seen a major downtrend the entire 2019, the Binance exchange native token has been climbing to new all-time hights throughout 2019 and looks set to continue its upward push for the biggest gainer of 2019, already sitting at well over 450% this year. Only three coins make it into the 300-400% gains section, including RVN, HOT, and LINK. All three projects offer solid FA and have been gobbled up by crypto investors as long term holds for 2019, and so far so good.

Four coins break the 200-300% gainers section, with Litecoin being the most recognizable project with its 267% gain in price for 2019. The Litecoin reward halving is only 69 days away and the price has been steadily increasing  since the start of 2019, recently breaking over $110 this week, from $30 at the beginning of January 2019.

Other notable projects on the list include EOS, BAT, XTZ and BTT among others. Most of the top performing coins of 2019 have been well marketed over the course of 2019, and the results are clearly evident.
