Whale Watching: 15,000 BTC ($119,609,806) moved between unknown wallets

One particularly huge whale movement took place earlier today. 15,000 BTC, worth just under $120 million, was moved from one unidentified network address to another.

This major Bitcoin (BTC) transfer was made at around 1100 UTC on May 26, 2019. Although the amount of BTC moved was significant, the lack of information about the two wallets involved means that it's difficult to know exactly what the purpose of the transaction was.

Nevertheless, that didn't stop people on crypto Twitter from speculating about it. Some seemed to think it was nothing more important than an exchange transferring funds between different wallets. Meanwhile, others suggested that the whale in question may be preparing for a major dump of BTC, with the result potentially being a huge crash in price.
